US DOT Propane Gas Cargo Tank Workshop*

NPGA is pleased to present the Propane Gas Cargo Tank Workshop, hosted in partnership with the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). These workshops are designed to help cargo tank repair technicians, testers, and inspectors comply with current regulations – whether as a bulk motor carrier or as a commercial repair facility. This workshop provides a detailed presentation on how to conduct cargo tank testing as it relates to the propane industry. The information provided can be used to satisfy most aspects of function specific training for a Registered Inspectors (RIs) operating under a Cargo Tank Facility number. Details will be provided on how the tests and inspections of the tanks should be conducted, what equipment should be used and what regulatory required methods apply. Reference materials will be provided to assist RIs with inspections they conduct after training. Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration PHMSA Interpretations, regulatory changes, and explanations of those will be provided. Valuable information of what to expect should you receive a review from FMCSA will also be provided. 

Registration Fees (must register by April 1, 2022):

  • $420 NPGA members/$520 non-members for the workshop and full access to all events
  • $375 NPGA members/$475 non-members for the workshop and access to the exhibit hall only
  • Exhibitors: register for the workshop for an additional $200 NPGA members/$300 non-members
