Hazmat Recurrent Training*
Saturday, April 18 | 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM
NPGA is pleased to present the new hazardous materials recurrent training course. This training provides hazmat employees with essential knowledge and certification meeting standards set forth in 49CFR part 172, subpart H. Participants will gain an understanding of hazardous materials awareness, safe propane handling, and transportation compliance standards. The session emphasizes regulatory responsibilities, risk reduction, and practical safety procedures to ensure distributors operate with confidence, professionalism, and full compliance.
Propane distributors are required to ensure hazmat employees to maintain proper training and certification in compliance with the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations set forth in 49CFR, part 172, subpart H. The DOT requires this training for anyone involved in the transportation or handling of propane, including drivers, those preparing shipping papers, and personnel involved in packaging, labeling, or loading. The training must be completed within 90 days of employment, with recurrent training required every (3) three years. Proper training must cover general awareness, function-specific duties, safety, security awareness, and in-depth security.
The session will be led by:
