NFPA 58 UPDATE

NFPA provides an overall review of the NFPA standards process and how NPFA members can participate in the process. NFPA will also review the technical changes between the 2015 & 2018 editions for NFPA 54 and 59 as they are new documents. For the current NFPA 58 revision cycle, 2020 edition, NFPA will review the proposed changes for NFPA 58 based on the outcome of the first draft meeting held in the fall of 2017.

PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE AND THE 10 YEAR HYDRO

NPGA RESEARCH PROJECT LEADS TO CHANGES IN THE INTERNATIONAL FIRE CODE AND NFPA 58

The presentation outlines the two-year study of cylinder impact protection conducted by the NPGA Cylinder Exchange Council. It includes a review of past vehicle impact protection codes, videos of full-scale collisions into cylinder exchange cabinets, and the results of the study. We will also discuss recent changes made to vehicle impact protection requirements included in the 2017 edition of NFPA 58 and the 2015 edition of the International Fire Code as a result of the project.

INSIGHTS INTO THE CAUSES FOR MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENTS IN THE PROPANE GAS INDUSTRY
