In 1998, Woody and his wife, Renee, founded Eagle Energy Corporation in Nevada. They entered the propane business by acquiring a small 100-pound cylinder exchange company and began selling bulk propane the following year. Eagle Energy grew into a leading propane retailer and in 2017, they expanded further through the acquisition of another local marketer. This began a period of rapid growth for the company, which brought its share of challenges, but also significant opportunities—ultimately leading to the sale of all Eagle Energy Corporation assets in the fall of 2021. Woody remains active in the Nevada Propane Dealers Association, where he has served as president, board representative, and committee member throughout the years.
